International Cheerleading Championship

The championship was to be held on March 14 and 15, 2020, but due to complications caused by the current pandemic, it was held only on March 14, taking the appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the virus, his team went, showed up and left in order to avoid crowds of people.

My Sharks team, has been preparing since the middle of the previous year (2019) to be able to go to this competition for the first time, the months of effort and hard work passed until it was time for the trip. 

My trip started in Bogotá, I made a stopover in Panamá until I reached Orlando, Florida, we arrived at the hotel and the next day we resumed training.

April 14 arrived, the day before we were informed that the competition would only take place on the 14th, contrary to what had been stipulated; We got to ESPN, I was very excited about what was coming, we spent presenting the cockades and we waited a while to be able to enter the coliseum, they called us and my emotion increased, I wanted to urinate because of so much emotion, I tried to go to the bathroom but not scope; We went to take the official photo and then to the warm-up area, it was gigantic, it had like four areas with pedals, we passed and the routine went without errors in the warm-up and we went to the back of the stage.

The time has come, the moment we had waited for so long, we were behind the scenes, I was engulfed with emotion hoping everything would turn out well, we waited, we talked and we gave each other encouragement, it was time to give everything, I was nervous, I couldn't believe As far as we had come, they called us, "Sharks" was the only thing I heard, we passed by saying hello, smiling, I took my place and waited for the music to sound, it started, it was an incomparable and indescribable feeling, one of those that usually only happens once , we started giving it all, I did my best to make everything come out, I smiled at all times, I was in the pedana but I still did not believe it, I just gave everything, I listened to the screams of the people, my heart was in rhythm music, it was amazing.

We finished the routine, we went out and I still could not believe where I was, we went back to the hotel, to wait for results, we went out for a while to calm the nerves, we returned and we had the news, we were 5th internationally in our category!

It was a magical experience.
